Public Appointments - right for you?
About DiPA
Active Support

DiPA - Diversity in Public Appointments, is an independent organisation. Its purpose is to promote diversity in public life by guiding and supporting individuals from previously unrepresented groups to successfully apply for Public Appointments.

Contact us with no obligation
Although there is a notional membership fee (to cover admin costs) DiPA is passionate about encouraging diversity in public life. If you or your organisation would like to share your aspirations with us and explore how DiPA could help you, please contact us for an initial no obligation chat. DiPA also operates a database of people interested in seeking public appointments which is run on a membership basis; please contact us for further details.

Make your shout count
A Public Appointment can enable you to influence policy on issues that you are passionate about. It can also allow you to participate more fully in your community and help you develop skills to advance your career. Whatever your background the chances are you will have something to offer in a public role. But most people don't know where to start, or even where to find Public Appointment vacancies.

Government priority
All government departments (whose ministers make most Public Appointments) have targets to reach to make sure Public Appointments sufficiently reflect the full spectrum of British life. So whatever your gender, ethnic background, socio-economic status, disability or age - DiPA can help you to 'make your shout count'.

Specialist advice
As career networking and coaching specialists DiPA has developed workshops (for individuals and corporate bodies) and individual coaching programmes to support and advise you through this process.
