Let DiPA guide you through every stage of your application process. With the emphasis on diversity, DiPA's expertise is in coaching and supporting individuals through the vagaries of applying for a Public Appointment.

DiPA provides a personal advice and support service for individuals applying for a Public Appointment. It also offers consultancy for businesses interested in supporting Public Appointments as part of their company's work/life balance initiatives or implementing 'investors in people' HR policies. We also help organisations source a wider pool of diverse talents for non-executive and board appointments.

DiPA's support structure includes:

  • Alerting members to suitable posts as they arise
  • Help and advice in preparing applications
  • Arranging 'shadowing' of public appointees in specific areas of interest
  • Offering practical ways of getting more information about what's really involved in a particular appointment
  • Organising informal networking events
  • Running workshops for individuals to help them identify transferable skills and areas of expertise
  • Preparing individuals for their appointment, e.g. understanding what they can expect and their specific areas of responsibility and improving interview skills
  • Mentoring, coaching or other support immediately following an individual's Public Appointment, to support induction

At DiPA we are continuing to build on our confidential database (and Skills Exchange Register) of individuals who are interested in taking up a Public Appointment . This database helps us to identify suitable appointments and support for you.
